I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful couple last week Vincent and Alina and I can’t wait to meet their new baby! We did a few photos outside and thank God the weather cooperated. Luckly it was in the 50’s that day and in January that doesn’t happen often. I was a little concerned because the week before it snowed like 18 inches but the photography angels were smiling on us that day. The other photos were done in studio. She did a few outfit changes but she was beautiful in everything!
I have to say maternity sessions are some of my favorite one to do. Moms get to dress up in things they would never wear normally and by the end we are all laughing and having a lot of fun. This is one thing about being pregnant that you can add to the fun list. Alina picked a few things that she liked from the rack and she was so on the ball she brought some of her own dresses to wear.
I usually will do moms by their self at the beginning and then add it significant others at the end. That gives mom time to get comfortable and dads love watching and stepping in to help when I need an extra hand. These photos are so important not only to mark a special time in your life but it also gives you a visual memory of that short time before the baby comes. It is always a great thing to have to show your kids when they grow up. My now 5 year old daughter loves looking at photos of me when I was pregnant with her and your children will too!
This is her first baby and I can’t wait to be this family’s photographer for many years to come!
