Maternity sessions are one of my favorite things to do in studio. Moms get to dress up in things they would never wear and be Queen for a day. By the end of the session we are laughing and having tons of fun.
Most people book their sessions soon after they find out they are pregnant but I do have some moms that decide in the last month that they want photos of this time in thier life before the baby comes. The best time for most moms is in the 7-8 month mark. Most are still comfortable showing their bellies and they are feeling excited about all the changes on the way.
If you don’t know what to wear for your session I have over 50 dresses to choose from. I do a lot of photos with draping fabric as well to create movement in the photos with fans and tossing. It’s so much fun for dads too.
A few family photos are welcome in the session. Dads and older siblings are usually at the beginning so someone can take the kids home and they don’t have to hang out while mom gets pictures done.
Most people that get Maternity sessions come back when the baby comes because they are so happy with the maternity photos they want beautiful pictures of their baby as well.
